PUCCIO : Ironart Originals


The pieces seen here are all designed & created by Niagara Frontier Artist JOHN PUCCIO. Originally a native of New York City, the artist became familiar with large scale outdoor sculpture, particularly the work of Isamu Naguchi. Relocating to Western New York in 1988 Puccio began creating an abundant collection of artwork. These works range in size from 6 in. to 20 ft. in height. Varying from abstract to representational & figurative. Influenced by artists: Naum Gabo, Pevsner, Matisse, & Picasso; Puccio's work is diverse & striking. The sculpture "ADAGIO 3 Ascending Hopes" is installed at the Lewiston Art Center in Lewiston, NY, and can be seen along with other works. He has performed restoration on Rossetti's 'Big Red' for the Albright Knox Gallery and Sidney Montigue's "Mother Allied" located on Mariner Street in Buffalo, New York. Puccio's most recent large scale sculpture; "ADAGIO 5 Tango" is presently installed at the Lewiston Senior Citizens Center .The artist was featured in spring of 2001 in Buffalo Spree magazine and at the Designer Show House at 121 Chapin Parkway, Buffalo, NY. Most recently, in 2003, the artist has received Sculpture awards at Canal Fest, Lewiston Artfest, Lancaster Art Festival, Quaker Arts, and Springville Fall Festival
